At the Damiano Funeral Home, we understand that every person is unique. This is why we try our best to provide our families with a wide range of choices for caskets, vaults, urns and many personalized memorial and remembrance items which reflect the individual and help to celebrate their life in a meaningful way.

Caskets

The caskets that we offer are available in many different styles and designs. They are made from solid hardwoods, softwoods or a combination of wood species such as Mahogany, Cherry, Pecan, Oak, Ash, Pine and Poplar. We also offer caskets made from precious metals such as Bronze and Copper as well as those made from Stainless Steel and Standard (carbon) Steel. Casket costs differ based on the quality of the wood species and the composition of the metals used.

The premium metal caskets are constructed from non-corrosive bronze and copper. Stainless steel is made from standard (carbon) steel with chromium and nickel added and is rust-resistant. Standard steel caskets are ranked in quality according to the thickness (gauge) of the steel, usually 16, 18 and 20 with the smaller number being the thicker gauge.

Wood caskets have always been a popular choice because they have a natural warmth and beauty that give each casket its own distinct characteristics. The unique graining patterns are like fingerprints for each species of wood. These "beauty marks" of nature are found in each species and are what makes each casket a special selection. Different finishes such as satin or high-gloss are applied to the wood accenting the natural texture and unique characteristics of the species. Premium woods would be those such as Mahogany and Cherry. Then woods such as Maple, Pecan and Oak followed by Poplar, Ash and Pine.

Vaults are outer burial containers which are placed into the grave for the purpose of encasing the casket and withstanding the pressures exerted upon it by the earth and cemetery equipment. As in casket construction vaults costs differ based on the processes used in its construction.In most areas of the country, state or local law does not require that you buy a container to surround the casket in the grave. However, many cemeteries require that you have such a container so that the grave will not sink in. Either a burial vault or a grave liner will satisfy these requirements.

The Bronze and Copper Triune. They are the finest double-reinforced Wilbert burial vaults. The Bronze is constructed of high-strength concrete with bronze and high-impact ABS plastic liner and a lustrous bronze carapace and accent bars. The Copper is high-strength concrete with copper and high-impact ABS plastic liner and a rich copper carapace.

Standard Vaults constructed of Stainless Steel High-strength concrete, stainless steel, and high-impact ABS Trilon thermoplastic combine for durable inner protection in our middle of the line, double-reinforced products.

Basic vaults are single-reinforced and feature concrete construction combined with either Marbelon or Strentex plastic-reinforcement for strength.

Urn Vaults Vaults made for urns are constructed with the same specifications and standards as the casket vaults. We offer a complete line of Wilbert Urn Vaults.

Urns

Urns are a lasting memorial for a loved one who was cremated. Urns are made from many materials such as bronze, pewter, marble, brass, crystal, hand blown glass, cloisonne and many species of hardwoods. They are available in many designs including such items as clocks or motorcycle gas tanks. Urns can be kept at home, buried or placed in a niche at the cemetery. Urns can be personalized with photographs and engraved.

Specialty urns made of environmentally friendly biodegradable materials are appropriate for scattering at sea or burial. These urns also come in a variety of designs including the seashell shown here.

KEEPSAKES Urns Keepsake urns are for those who wish to keel a small portion of their loved ones or for sharing the cremated remains among family members and friends as a personal memorial. They are made from the same materials as full size urns and in some cases can be personalized with engraving.
Jewelry Keepsake jewelry, which include bracelets and necklaces with with an assortment of unique designs including heats and crosses are a special way to carry on your loved ones memory. They are available in silver an 14k gold.

Glass Rosary This Unique Rosary is the Rosary of Medjugorje. It represents five sets of four familiar prayers empowering the faithful to express devotion through Mary to her beloved Son while contemplating all 15 mysteries. We are one of the few funeral homes in the area that can provide our families with glass rosaries.

Magnaplanets If you want to keep your loved one close, a Magnaplanet is a beautiful choice. This glass display of a miniature world has a small portion of your loved ones Cremains placed inside when its being designed. Every Mangaplanet created is unique by design.

Many families choose to personalize  caskets , vaults and other products for the funeral. We offer many different ways to do this. Caskets can be personalized with interchangeable corners, cap panels, pillows, interior colors and fabrics. This enables families to create a custom casket to truly reflect their loved ones lifestyle or hobbies. We also offer custom designs for veterans. The interchangeable corners can also be removed (should the family so choose) and mounted on a plaque to create a lasting keepsake in memory of their loved one.
