Obituary for Eric "Rick" Feulmer

Print
Eric D. Feulmer, age 71, of Oceanport, NJ, known as Rick to family and friends, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. He was born on September 22, 1947 in Greensburg, PA to John W. Feulmer Sr. and Eleanore (Trump) and grew up in Indiana, PA.

After high school, Rick served in the US Navy as an electrician’s mate aboard the USS Wedderburn during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge in 1968, he began working for Sperry Univac in Erie, PA as a Customer Engineer. Here, he also met his wife Kathy and began his family. Work promotions led to moves to Amherst, NY and Oceanport, NJ. He retired as the Director of Customer Excellence in 2016 after 48 years with UNISYS.

Rick was a fun-loving, prank-pulling, joke-cracking, DIY kind of guy. He enjoyed family gatherings with fires and poker games, watching NASCAR and hunting. He enjoyed laughs with his grandchildren and was very proud of his daughters and all of their accomplishments. He enjoyed spending time at the family farm he grew up on in Indiana, PA.

Rick is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathy (Henk), his daughters Jennifer Cicconetti, Heidi Rodriguez (Rick), and Erika Feulmer, and his three grandchildren Eli (Natalie), Anthony, and Alex. Surviving also are his siblings John Feulmer Jr. (June), Thomas Feulmer, Gerald Feulmer (Linda), Mary Wilson (Randy) and Mark Feulmer (Robin) and his sisters in law Judy Feulmer, Barbara Walker (Roy), and Cindy Brown (Jeff). He leaves behind many loved cousins, nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Eleanore and his sister, Linda Thayer. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
