Heather MacDonald, 40 of Oakhurst, died on September 12, 2019 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Born in Red Bank, she grew up in Oakhurst and graduated from the Ocean Township High School and Georgian Court College. Heather’s love of theater, history, and costuming were utilized in her portrayal of historical characters as a volunteer of Living History at the Ocean Historical Museum. Whether patrons were greeted by the First Lady Edith Wilson, Mabel Fenton, or Mrs. Phoebe Woolley, Heather was dedicated and passionate about her portrayals down to the tiniest detail. A gifted musician, she would also entertain playing the dulcimer or Celtic harp, her talent brining smiles to all. Heather also excelled at improvisation, partaking in variety of live action role-play games, where she portrayed fictional characters of shrewd intelligence and cool composure in the most challenging settings, facing the antagonist with courage. Her creative energies knew no bounds as did her devotion to her friends.

Among the role-playing groups she was active in the Mind’s Eye Society. People countrywide came to love Heather through her portrayal of Morvenna.
