Alice E. Cancassi

Alice E. Cancassi, 83 years young of West Long Branch passed away peacefully on March 16th 2021 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch. She was born and raised in the Bronx in New York City. She came to New Jersey with her family to live in a beautiful home in Long Branch where she and her husband raised five children and many animals.
While raising 5 children, she also worked at Wheellock, Perkin-Elmer and Interdata as a Quality Control Supervisor where she retired over 18 years ago.

She was predeceased by her ex-husband, Salvatore Cancassi and her brother Gary Howerth, and her Aunt Erie Ouellette, who also lived in Long Branch.

Surviving are her children, sons Michael and Salvatore Cancassi and daughters, Mary Grace Cancassi, Alice Yale, and Betty Marie Jones. Also surviving is her cousin Dinny Lubischer and sister-in-law Elaine Howerth plus all her grandchildren, Nicholas Yale, Mikey Cancassi, Brittany Cancassi, Tiffany Yale, Matthew Cancassi, Kylie Jones, Alex Jones, Rio Jones and Marcella Cancassi. She was also so happy to have two great grandchildren, Michael Jr. Dickerson and Kameron Dickerson.

All services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a plant a tree charity at the funeral home's website or the animal shelter at www.rescueridge.com where she got her beloved Pepper.
