Angela Valentino Obituary

Angela Valentino, 95, of Spring Lake Heights, NJ, passed away on August 19, 2021.  Angela was born in Long Branch, NJ, to Joseph and Josephine Scarano. After spending the early years of her life in Long Branch, Angela then moved to West Long Branch, NJ, where she spent the major part of her life.  In 2018, Angela then moved to The Arbors in Spring Lake Heights, NJ, where she enjoyed and was appreciative of the care, comfort, and kindness that was shown to her.

As a graduate of Long Branch High School in NJ, Angela then went on to further her academic studies at Rider University in Trenton, NJ, where she earned her B.S. Degree in Business Education, as well as two NJ Education Certifications in   Elementary Education K-8 and Secondary Business Education. As a lifelong learner, Angela’s additional studies included numerous extension courses at Kean University, Monmouth University, and Brookdale Community College, all located in NJ.

Angela was predeceased by her husband Charles Valentino, Sr., and son, Charles Valentino, Jr., as well as her parents, Joseph and Josephine Scarano, and siblings, Anthony, Madeline and Mildred. Angela is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a circle of friends with whom she enjoyed socializing throughout her life.

In addition to being a lifelong learner, Angela also possessed a creative spirit, which fueled her passion for writing an abundance of song lyrics, which then after being combined with the music composed by John Mulrenhan, went on to become published. In addition to being a lyricist, Angela was President and CEO of Valentino Enterprises, Inc. NJ, a company which she founded.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 25 at 10:30 am at St. Michael’s Church, 800 Ocean Avenue in West End, Long Branch.
