Angeline McCabe

Angeline McCabe passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024, in Eatontown, NJ, at the age of 101. She spent the majority of her life as a devoted housewife and mother, deeply cherished by her family and community.

Angeline was a cornerstone of her family, known for her generosity, kindness, and quiet strength. Her life was a testament to her strong religious faith, which she practiced as a long-time member of St. Dorothea's Roman Catholic Church in Eatontown. She found joy in simple pleasures, meticulously maintaining her home, hosting family dinners, and caring for her three grandchildren and four great grandchildren, which brought her immense happiness. Her cooking brought joy to many. Her famed eggplant parmigiana and cans of cookies were a favorite among family and friends. She loved shopping year-round for Christmas and birthday gifts for all twelve family members in three generations. She was physically active through most of her life, and enjoyed walking many miles daily and working in the yard. Angeline had an exemplary attitude toward life, confronting the many challenges of a long and fruitful life head-on and with optimism and determination. She was never one to worry about the future but, instead, lived life fully in the present moment. Thank you, Angeline, for your beauty, your strength, your virtue and your loving care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for her on Wednesday, October 30 at 10:30 am at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 800 Ocean Ave, Long Branch, NJ 07740. Interment will follow in Mt Carmel Cemetery, West Long Branch.  The Damiano Funeral Home in Long Branch, NJ, is assisting the family with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Society at St. Michael's Church, 800 Ocean Ave, Long Branch, NJ 07740, or to the Society for the Propagation of the Faith, 701 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648, honoring Angeline’s life of faith and service.
