Anthony passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 11, 2025.

Formerly of Long Branch, he attended Holy Trinity and Long Branch public schools. He received a degree from Brookdale College.

He was predeceased by his parents Anthony and Theresa Stamato Tomaino and his wife Barbara Tomaino (2023). He is survived by his sister Dr. Jeanne Tomaino Esposito, brother-in-law Andrea Esposito and nieces Teresa and Rita Esposito. Also surviving are his wife’s children George Hustel, Maegel Dove and Joey Castello and their families.

He operated his own cleaning business.

Anthony was a self-taught drummer and performed in several local bands. He loved jazz music and idolized Jack De Johnette and John Abercrombie. He was happiest with drumsticks in his hands, playing anywhere and anytime.

The family would like to thank his doctors Priya Angi and Violet Kramer for their care.

A graveside service will be held at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Wall Street, West Long Branch on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 1 pm.
