Anthony "Tony" McGowan Obituary

Anthony J. McGowan Sr. (Tony), age 52, died suddenly of natural causes on Sunday, August 15, 2021 in Toms River. Tony was born in March of 1969 in Union, NJ. He earned his Bachelor Degree in Business in 1992 from East Stroudsburg University and shortly after graduating, moved to Oceanport to raise his family.

Tony was a great family man and a loving father who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a social and active man who was very involved in youth soccer both as a player and coach for the majority of his life. His family and friends will always remember Tony as being full of life.

He was predeceased by his mother, Patricia McGowan. Surviving are his wife, Kelly and children, Jesse, Allie and Anthony Jr. (AJ) all of Oceanport; his father, Gregg McGowan of Manchester; his sister and brother-in-law, Dana & John Crewe of Toms River; and his nieces Sian, Emma, Maddy and Jamie of Toms River.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at 1:00 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue in Long Branch. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tony's life. The family invites you to leave a letter of condolence through the Tribute/Guestbook link above.
