Beverly Louise Rich was born December 29, 1932 in Baltimore, Maryland to Edna and George Hess. Beverly is predeceased by her parents, Edna and George Hess; her sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Sonny Kuester; and her beloved husband, William (Bill) Rich. She is also predeceased by her first husband, Francis McLaughlin; her daughter, Sharon Novak; and her son, Michael McLaughlin.
She is survived by her son, Dan McLaughlin, and his wife, Adrienne; her daughter, Sally McLaughlin, and her husband, Scott Wilson; and her daughter, Lauren Mayer, and her husband, Mark Mayer; and her son-in-law John Novak. Beverly is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Devin and Shane McLaughlin; Charlie (Becca) Wilson; Tom Wilson; Allison (John) Porter; Steven (Greer) Novak; Justin Mayer; and Katie (Troy) Senkowski. Additionally, she leaves behind her beloved great-grandchildren: Luke, Evan, Max, Leo, Braden, Chris, Keating, Layton, and Grady.
Beverly was deeply grateful for her many years in Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and the friendships she formed through the program. She loved playing Bridge, traveling the world, all things chocolate, enjoying game shows and trivia, and cheering for the Cowboys and her grandchildren during their sports games. Her beloved husband, Bill Rich, shared her love of the beach and the sea.
Her wisdom, wit, and love will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April14, 2025 from 4-7 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue in Long Branch. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 am at the Roman Catholic Church of the Precious Blood, 72 Riverdale Avenue in Monmouth Beach. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in West Long Branch. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O.
