Bruce Fillmore Obituary

Bruce D. Fillmore, 62, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 after a long and challenging illness. Bruce was born on February 10, 1958 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch to the late Dorothy Hefner Fillmore and Boyd Fillmore. He grew up in East Keansburg and attended Middletown High School.

Bruce was a retail shoe manager from the age of 17 in numerous different Bradlees Stores. He moved temporarily to Manassas, Virginia with his job but then returned to New Jersey where he met his wife of 33 years, Maryann.

He was a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan and looked forward to football season each year. Family, his pet cats, good food, comedy TV, action films, and football were what made him happy. He also enjoyed listening to southern rock and smooth jazz while cruising in his Rav 4. Bruce’s great sense of humor and loving ways will always remain in our hearts.

Bruce was a devoted and loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife Maryann and beautiful daughter Tiffany Marie as well as many family members who loved and will miss him dearly.
