Cesar Agosto Guevara, born on June 10, 1947, in Quito, Ecuador, passed away peacefully at home on February 2, 2025, in Long Branch, New Jersey. He was a beloved figure in his community and a dedicated family man who prioritized the well-being of his loved ones above all else.
Cesar's commitment to his family was paralleled by his dedication to his career. For 40 years, he served as the Night Supervisor for Housekeeping at Monmouth Medical Center, where his hard work and dependability were deeply valued.
A friend of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Cesar's faith was a guiding force in his life. He found joy in life's simple pleasures-running and cycling along the beach, as well as camping-activities he cherished most when shared with family.
Cesar is survived by his loving wife, Maria Centeno Guevara; his mother, Carmen Viteri; his children, Veronica Guevara-Lovgren, Cristina Blackley, Cesar Guevara, and Diego Guevara; and his cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Gwyneth, and Peyton Blackley, and Mia Lovgren. He also leaves behind his son-in-law, Daniel Lovgren. He was preceded in death by his father, Luis Alfredo Guevara; his uncle, Eduardo Guevara; his aunt, Aida Suasnavas Guevara; and his cousins, Angel Guevara and Fanny Guevara Padilla.
Visitation will be held at The Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue in Long Branch on Monday, February 10 from 6 pm until the time of service at 7pm. Closing prayers will take place at the funeral home the following morning beginning at 10 am, and interment will follow at Monmouth Memorial Park Cemetery in Tinton Falls.

César Agosto Guevara, nacido el 10 de junio de 1947 en Quito, Ecuador, falleció pacíficamente en su casa el 2 de febrero de 2025, en Long Branch, Nueva Jersey. Era una figura querida en su comunidad y un hombre de familia dedicado que priorizaba el bienestar de sus seres queridos por encima de todo.
El compromiso de César con su familia fue paralelo a su dedicación a su carrera. Durante 40 años, se desempeñó como supervisor nocturno de limpieza en Monmouth Medical Center, donde se valoraba profundamente su arduo trabajo y confiabilidad.

El velorio se llevará a cabo en The Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue en Long Branch el lunes 10 de febrero desde las 6 pm hasta la hora del servicio a las 7 pm. Las oraciones de clausura se llevarán a cabo en la funeraria a la mañana siguiente a partir de las 10 am, y seguirá el entierro en el cementerio Monmouth Memorial Park en Tinton Falls.
