Cheryl A Gervolino

Cheryl Ann Gervolino, 64, of West Long Branch, passed away peacefully September 2, 2021. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends. Cherie was born September 18th, 1956, in Long Branch, New Jersey, to Marion and Michael Manzi. She attended Long Branch High School, where she proudly performed in the color guard for the Long Branch High School band.

Cherie deeply loved her children and family dog Oliver. She enjoyed gardening and viewing wildlife. She loved animals, especially Old English Sheepdogs. She loved talking Giants football with her son and was passionate about music, especially The Beatles. She was loved by anyone that met her, and a friend to all.

She is survived by her father, Michael Manzi; her brother and sister-in-law, Louis and Patti Manzi; her sister, Toni Baillie; her daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Evan Marx; her son, Michael Gervolino; her daughter, Jaime Gervolino; and her granddaughter, Amelia Marx; She is predeceased by her mother, Marion Manzi.

A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, September 8 from 5 - 8 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue in Long Branch. Please go directly to Holy Trinity Church in Long Branch on Thursday, Sept. 9 for the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that donations be made in Cherie’s name to the Monmouth County SPCA, 260 Wall Street, Eatontown, NJ 07724.
