Christoffel Hendrik (Henk) Stok of Elberon, NJ passed away on March 19, peacefully at home. He was born in Rotterdam, Netherlands in December 1939 and came to the US in January 1968 due to his expertise in the bakery equipment field. He fell in love with the United States and decided to make it his permanent home.
Henk was a master of his trade, installing, repairing and designing bakery equipment, all around the world. Henk loved fishing, the smell of the ocean, feeding the birds and going to Atlantic City. He was an avid runner and completed 36 marathons, but soccer was his first passion. He competed semiprofessionally in Holland and also proudly served in the Dutch military. His grandchildren were the light of his life.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Elizabeth of 32 years, his daughter Nichole Baker (son-in-law Barry), daughter Alissa Stok, his five grandchildren, Jada, Ava & Jaxon Baker, Silas & Arlo Gapinski, immediate family in Holland, extended family in America, countless friends, colleagues and fishing buddies.
He was predeceased by his parents Christoffel and Krina, two brothers, Wim and Jon Stok and his only son, Christoffel Hendrik Stok, VIII.
There will be a private cremation with no service, per Henk’s last wishes. There will be an announcement of a celebration of life at a later date. The family invites you to leave a letter of condolence by selecting the Tribute/Guestbook link above.
