Delores Ann Lananger, age 74 of Long Branch, passed on Sunday, December 18, 2022. She received her GED in Long Branch and worked as a Home Health Aid for 40 years. Delores loved what she did and though she was not working she wished that she still could be. She volunteered at St. Luke's Methodist Church and also at Old First Methodist Church. She cared about children and donated to St. Jude's.
Delores was born in Long Branch, and lived their till her passing. She passed peacefully at her home where she wanted to. She loved life and everyone around her and was a positive person with a positive spirit. Delores had a great heart and soul and will be missed by many. Even when she was sick, she still tried to keep positive.
Delores is preceded by her parents: Jacqueline and David Voorhees; her brother Eugene Voorhees; her son David Voorhees and her great grandson Chase Lopez.
Delores is survived by her children Patricia Voorhees-Diaz, of Florida and Timothy Voorhees of Long Branch; three grandchildren Alex and Emilee Lopez of Ohio, Luis Lopez of Florida and Daniel Voorhees of Ohio; five great grandchildren Carter and Emma Lopez of NJ and Miles, Sophia and Olivia Lopez of Ohio and her niece Jessica Voorhees of NJ.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 3 pm until the time of the service at 4 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue in Long Branch. The family invites you to leave a letter of condolence by selecting the Tribute/Guestbook link above.
