Delores Ann Wheeler was the youngest of four children, a devoted daughter, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. On October 23, 2021, at the age of eighty-one, Delores was called home. She was born in Long Branch, New Jersey on April 30, 1940. She is survived by her three children Curtis R. Wheeler, Michael M. Wheeler and Leah M. Wheeler. She also leaves six grandchildren, Shaun Wheeler, Miesha Murphy, Blake L. Pendleton, Linda Watkins, Kelly D. Wheeler and Jordan N. Pendleton. In addition, she leaves eight beautiful great grandchildren who will always have a special place in their hearts for Gigi and large number of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
Delores was predeceased by her parents Annie L. Scott and Robert E. Scott, her brothers Robert Jr. Scott (Junie), Richard Scott (Dicky) and Charles Scott (Charlie).
Delores was one of the family's historians who enjoyed listening to Oldies But Goodies (often with her eyes closed as she swayed back and forth remembering the good old days) and was an amazing cook. She retired, as an employee of the State of New Jersey, Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital, after 31 years. She was also a member of the Elks Club in Red Bank, New Jersey. Delores lived a full life, she cherished her family and she will always be remembered for her love.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 30 from 9 am until the time of the service at 10 am the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., Long Branch. Interment will be follow at White Ridge Cemetery in Eatontown. The family invites you to leave a letter of condolence through the Tribute/Guestbook link above.
