In Loving Memory of Edgar Hernandez Requiron, age 61
Edgar Requiron was born on October 17, 1960, in Manila, Philippines to Manuel Acierto Requiron and Herminia Hernandez Requiron. He was the beloved second-born of three children, the only boy.
Edgar lived his early life in the Philippines. He went to elementary school at Nazareth School, spent a year at Don Bosco Technical College – Grade School, then transferred to St. Francis School. He went on to NAMEI Polytechnic Institute, where he completed high school and received two years of college education in Stationary Engineering.
Edgar arrived in the US in 1995. He worked in construction with his brother-in-law, Andres Reyes, at his company, Alan Builders. He then worked briefly as a stock clerk for Rex Gene before spending the remainder of his career at Eaton Corporation, formerly Cooper Wheelock, Inc. Edgar served the company in different capacities (as a machine operator, assembler, and tester) for 23 years from 1997-2020.
Edgar was a man of few words. He was known to enjoy a bachelor lifestyle. Though he did not have children of his own, he was very generous towards his loved ones. Edgar often shared his blessings with family and friends alike. He excelled at cooking – one of his favorite hobbies. Edgar also enjoyed gardening, travelling, hanging out with his friends, and making people laugh.
Edgar passed away in the early morning hours of May 9, 2022, surrounded by family. Edgar is survived by his parents, sisters: Wilma Requiron Reyes and Herma Requiron-Mercado, brother-in-law, Jay Mercado, his nieces and nephews: Alan, Andy, Alex, Chloe, Karla, Nuel, nephew-in-law, Donnie, and treasured grandniece, Riley and grandnephew, Noah.
