Edmund Ralph Sabella, 87, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2023, in West Long Branch, New Jersey. Edmund was born on January 18, 1936, in Brooklyn, NY to Ida and John Sabella. He graduated from high school in his hometown, and later became an electronics technician for Perkin Elmer. He was an expert in his field and dedicated to his work. Edmund was an avid fisherman and became a talented designer of fishing poles. He enjoyed working with his hands and took to building wooden airplanes in his free time. He was a man of many interests and always had a project in the works. Edmund was a sensitive, caring, and loyal person to everyone that he met. He had a great sense of humor and was always quick to make a joke. Edmund was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
Edmund is survived by his sister Ann Sabella, brother Valentine Sabella, nephews Steve and Chris Sabella, and niece Valerie Mule'. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rae Sabella.
A graveside service will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 100 Chapel Hill Road in Red Bank on Monday, June 19th at 12:00 pm. Flowers are welcome, and alternatively, contributions can be made in Edmund's name to the ASPCA or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
