Eleanor Ann Ruoff

Eleanor Ann Ruoff, was born on June 24, 1940, in Corning, New York, and passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 4, 2026, in Tinton Falls, New Jersey.

Eleanor is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Charles H. Ruoff.

4 sons and their wives; Eric and Wendy Jackson, NJ, Scott and Denise Bainbridge Island, WA, Kirk and Pam Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Mark and Kim Cooper City, FL.

9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Also survived by her beloved younger brother, John S. Newkirk of Lancaster, PA, and her two nieces, Beth Ann and Ellie.

A graduate of Penn State University, Ellie loved the beach, enjoyed tennis, music, comedy, appreciated thoughtful conversation and good political debate.

 She lived a life marked by faith and devotion to family.

"Nana" believed in treating others with humility and kindness. She also served faithfully as a school and church volunteer, offering her time and energy in ways that made a difference. Ellie treasured her family deeply and found great joy in being present with the people she loved. She was proud of the family she and Charles raised, and she nurtured them with patience, prayer, and a heart full of love.

Ellie will be remembered with deep affection, and her memory will remain a blessing to all who were touched by her loving heart.

A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 from 3:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 5:00 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue in Long Branch.
