Elizabeth M. Ryder, 67 years old of Long Branch, died Wednesday September 28, 2022 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch. Beth was born in Glen Ridge, NJ to John and Mary Ellen Boylan. She was employed at Bank of America which allowed her to see the world and travel to England, Singapore, and Ireland. Beth enjoyed baking, word search games, spending time with her grandchildren, an avid Mets fan and trips to Atlantic City trips with her husband. She was a member of St. Michael's Bell Choir for years and Takanassee Beach Club where she spent many summers under an umbrella. Beth loved life, family and dry humor. She was a hard worker, a good friend, a loving wife and an amazing mother but her proudest title was "Grammy".
Beth was predeceased by her father John Boylan, step father James Egan, step-brother Stephen Patrick Egan, and brother Matthew Boylan. Surviving are her husband of 35 years Gary Ryder; her daughters and sons-in-law Tracey and Kevin Hoppey , Taryn and Gus Kaiser, and Ellen Ryder; her grandchildren Ethan and Meghan Hoppey, Miles and Cody Kaiser, Jax Irons, and Carter Ryder; her mother, Mary Egan; her siblings Kathleen and James Vaccaro, John and Regina Boylan, Rosanne Marcotte, Ellen and Daniel Worsham, Stephen and Joanne Boylan, Albert and Suzanne Boylan, sister in law Susan Boylan, Joseph and Shannon Boylan; her step-siblings Brian Egan, Vincent Egan, Mary Lou Egan, Gregory and Ann Egan, Eileen Egan, Patricia and Russell Nile, many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 5, 2022 from 1pm until the time of the service at 3:30 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue in Long Branch. In lieu of flowers we ask that you make a donation to the Mary Boylan Egan Scholarship, which is awarded each year to a graduating Special Education student at Bloomfield High School, NJ.
