Finbarr Quill

Finbarr D. Quill, age 55 of Oceanport, died on Monday, May 30, 2022 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch. Finbarr was born in Cork City Ireland and moved to the United States 36 years ago, settling in Oceanport 18 years ago. He was a cemetery worker for the Arch Dioceses of Newark.

Fin was an uncle to 27 and great uncle to 13. He loved walking his dog Buddy, walking down by the ocean, political debate, and enjoyed listening to music. He will forever be remembered as a loving father and giving his children the gift of remembering classic movies.

He is predeceased by his parents, Padraig and Eileen Quill; his brother, Michael Joe and sister Kitty. Surviving is wife Mary Quill; three daughters, Caitlin Eilish, Megan Ann and Ciara Eileen; his brothers, Dan, Padriag, Timmy and Johnny, and his sisters, Betty, Mary and Chrissy.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, June 6 from 3:00 pm until the time of the service at 5:30 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue in Long Branch. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation can be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 131 Bath Avenue, Long Branch, NJ 07740.
