Francesca Stranieri

Francesca Stranieri, 94, originally from Girifalco, Italy, passed away on October 8, 2023 in Long Branch, NJ. Francesca worked her way up as a seamstress when she first arrived from Italy to building a successful family-owned business as a landlord in uptown Long Branch.

Francesca is survived by her brother, Rocco Migliazza and his wife Rosa, brother Luigi Migliazza, sister Maria Capicotto and her husband Luigi, brother Antonio Migliazza and his wife Domenica, and sister-in-law Rosa Migliazza. She is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews, as well as 16 grand nieces and nephews. Francesca was preceded in death by her husband, Salvatore, her daughter Rosa Alba, and her brother Domenico. Francesca will be remembered for her devotion to her family and her skill as a seamstress. She was a beloved sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and great-aunt.

A visitation will be held at Damiano Funeral Home on Thursday, October 12th from 8am-10am, followed by a Mass at 10:30am at Holy Trinity Church. Burial will take place at Mt.
