Gerald Penta

Gerald Penta, 65 of Long Branch passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on Tuesday June 1, 2022. Gerald was a true Jersey Boy. He grew up in a large family being the youngest of 7. He graduated through the Long Branch school system and was an avid baseball player and fan. He had 1 daughter who was the light of his life, Annie 29 who lives in Michigan with his fur grand baby Zsa Zsa. His favorite place in the world was being on the beach sitting in the sun with his feet in the sand. He loved visiting with his brother Kerry in Florida or enjoying the Jersey shore.

Gerald was a familiar face everywhere he went, with his glowing tan and full head of thick dark hair. If you knew Gerald you knew him to be a loving soul, a true friend and person you would enjoy speaking and spending time with. His positive and upbeat outlook was a magnet to his friends and to the new acquaintances he would meet at the beach and/or work. Gerald never dwelled on the negative, his brilliant smile and continuous positive demeanor was never compromised. 

Gerald worked in several local salons; he helped manage Kazmiera Nail Salon in Red Bank with his then wife Susan. 

Gerald was predeceased by his parents John Penta Sr. and Carolyn Penta (English). He is survived by his loving daughter Annie Penta; 4 sisters, Carol Dennis, Mary Trafford, Joanne Eustace, Doreen Penta and 2 brothers, John and wife Margaret Penta and Kerry and wife Debbie Penta. He was also survived by amazing nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews who always made him proud. 

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday June 4th from 9 am until the time of the service at 11:30 am at Damiano Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests donations to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, P.O.
