Howard Francis Xavier Kingsley, known affectionately as "Bones," passed away peacefully on June 25, 2024, at the age of 80 in Wall, New Jersey. Born on March 11, 1944, in Rome, New York, Howard grew up in a close-knit family and later attended Red Bank Catholic High School.

After high school, Howard honorably served in the Army for four years, dedicating himself to his country with the same passion he brought to every endeavor. He pursued a career as an accountant at Fort Monmouth, where his meticulous nature and integrity were highly valued.

Howard was a devout member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, where he participated actively in the community. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, providing strength and comfort through all of his days.

Known for his quiet yet magnetic presence, Howard was the silent life of the party at every family gathering. A sports enthusiast, he was a longtime Yankee fan, attended New York Giants games, and never missed a race at Monmouth Park. Howard was also a regular at the Count Basie Theater, enjoying oldies concerts with his beloved wife, MaryRose.

Howard was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Moore, and his second wife, MaryRose. He was also predeceased by his brothers Robert, William, and Michael Kingsley. He is survived by his brother John Kingsley, sisters Mary Alice Kinslow and Dorothy Olive Smith, and brother-in-law and caretaker Vincenzo (Jim) Sestito, along with many adoring nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held to honor Howard’s life. The Damiano Funeral Home in Long Branch, New Jersey, is assisting the family with arrangements. Howard’s legacy of quiet strength, loyalty, and love for his family and community will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
