Jack J. Pineiro passed away on July 6, 2024 at the age of 89 in Ocean, NJ. Born in Pindo, Spain, he immigrated to Bayonne where he began a proud work history as a shoeshine boy eventually co-owning and brokering the leading real estate office in town. While Jack’s strong work ethic helped him accomplish a great deal in his lifetime, he considered his greatest accomplishment to be building a family with his beloved bride, Patricia with whom he has spent the last 20 years living on the Jersey Shore enjoying retirement.
Jack dedicated many years to the US Army Civilian Appellate Review Agency as a Grievance Examiner before venturing into the real estate sector. In 1982, he co-founded C21 McGeehan & Pineiro Real Estate, which later became Prudential McGeehan & Pineiro Real Estate. Under his stewardship the firm achieved significant success consistently ranking as the top real estate office in the region. Jack's passion for real estate was matched only by his dedication to helping others, always eager to share his extensive knowledge with those around him.
Beyond his professional life, Jack was a devoted family man, known for his love of attending family gatherings. Friends and loved ones characterize Jack as a genuine, warm, and caring person - “a good man” and a “true gentleman” are frequent epitaphs used by those sharing condolences with the family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Patricia Pineiro; sons, John Pineiro and his wife Jill; Paul Pineiro and his wife Sharon; and granddaughters, Dana Rose and her husband, Michael and Halle Shea and her partner Dylan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Manuela Pineiro.
An avid bowler, Jack found joy in the lanes and was an enthusiastic member of his local bowling community where he was known for the finesse of his “big hook.” In addition to bowling, Jack enjoyed watching baseball, football and football rooting for the Mets, Jets and Knicks. Jack was also a watch collector and an avid reader of histories and biographies.
