Jane B. Gorman, 94, of Monmouth Beach, passed away on October 8, peacefully at home surrounded by family and loved ones. Jane was born January 31, 1926, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She moved to New Jersey after marrying her husband, Thomas J. Gorman. She has lived in Monmouth Beach since 1975.
Jane was an avid reader who always had a book in progress. She was an excellent bridge player, playing weekly for over 50 years. In addition, she was a gardening enthusiast. If she wasn’t in the house, you could find her in the garden, tending her day lilies. She enjoyed traveling aboard and to California, Louisiana and Alabama to visit family. She spent many happy days searching for treasures at flea markets and antique stores with her daughters and nieces. She was a member of Middletown Woman’s Club for over 30 years. She attended The Church of the Precious Blood.
Jane was predeceased by her husband Thomas J. Gorman and her sister Joyce B. Trufant. She is survived by her children: Stephanie Deksnys, her husband, Victor; Martha Gorman and her husband Edward Boersig; Andrea Gorman; Patrick Gorman and his wife Erica. She is also survived by her grandchildren Brian, Madelaine, Trevor and Benjamin, as well as two great grandchildren Aiden and Koen.
Jane will be cremated. A private service will be held when travel restrictions due to Covid are lifted.
