Joseph Edward Denker III, age 50, of Eatontown, NJ died Friday, June 11, 2021 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Joseph’s two sons were his pride and joy. He was a loving father, husband, brother, son, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. His authentic nature allowed him to form meaningful connections with everyone he met. All who knew him will forever remember him as Billy Idol’s biggest fan. Joseph found peace in the rain, inspiration in prayer, and love all around him. He found great comfort in his relationship with God. His selfless nature allowed him to regularly contribute to the community through his profession as a certified alcohol and drug counselor.
He was predeceased by his mother Jacqueline Denker, his grandmothers Gladys Taylor and Dolores Carroll, his grandfather Raymond Taylor, and his uncles John Denker and James Nugent. Surviving are his wife Kelly Kane Denker, his two sons Kai Hudson Denker and Cruz Jackson Denker, his father Joseph Edward Denker Jr., his sister Crissy Larson, his niece Marlee Jacqueline Larson, his grandfather Joseph Edward Denker Sr., his aunts and uncles Lorraine Nugent, Susan and Ace Santore, and Pauline and Stephen Jenkins, and many loving cousins, in-laws, and friends, with each of whom he shared a special bond. He will be missed by his two canine children, Bowie and Twinkie.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 4-8 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., (corner of Third Ave.) in Long Branch. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 11 am at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport.
