Josephine C. Harris

Josephine C. Harris, age 95 of Neptune, died December 16, 2020. Josephine was born in Asbury Park and lived most of her life in Neptune. She was a receptionist at Electronic Concepts in Eatontown for 22 years retiring in 1992. After her retirement she went to work at Gateway Care Center in Eatontown as a receptionist; retiring from there in 2006. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Asbury Park and served as past secretary of the Third Order of the Most Holy Trinity. She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Neptune for 57 years and the Neptune Senior Center.

She was predeceased by her son Wesley in 2007. Surviving are two sisters and a brother-in-law, Anita and Sam Fusaro and Vivian Skidmore; a daughter-in-law, Deidra Gilliam; five grandchildren, Joseph Harris, Jr. & Stephanie Soviero, Patrick & Jaime Gilliam, and Nicole Schiedel; five great grandchildren, Kayla Marie Harris, Emma Claire Schiedel, Finn and Henry Gilliam, Constantine MacGregor, and many loving nieces and nephews.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Innocents Church. Interment will also be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Xavier Society for the Blind, 2 Pennsylvania Plaza, Suite 1102, New York, NY 10121.
