Karen Ann Suozzo Tessein, age 58, of Freehold Township, NJ and formerly of Levittown, PA and Hamilton Township, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. Karen was born in Long Branch, NJ to the late Albert and Judith Suozzo on October 20, 1964. Karen resided most of her life in Hamilton Township, NJ.
After graduating from college, Karen worked for the State of New Jersey at the Casino Control Commission. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, doing fun and exciting activities with her nephews, and watching football on television. Her most precious moments were spending time with her mom, truly her best friend.
Karen is survived by her sister Sandra and Henry Garicia of Manalapan, NJ; her brother Anthony and Sherri Suozzo of Flemington, NJ, and three nephews, Brandon and Dylan Garcia, and Owen Suozzo.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm, at the Damiano Funeral Home, located at 191 Franklin Ave, Long Branch, NJ 07740. A heartfelt service will follow promptly at 12:00 pm at the same location. Following the service, Karen will be laid to rest at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in West Long Branch, NJ.
Karen will forever be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and love for her family. Her spirit and compassionate nature touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
We love you Karen, we miss you, keep singing our song, you will be in our hearts forever and never forgotten. You are now at peace with mom and dad; they will take over again from here. I will always remember our time together, and their words of encouragement, go Tia go. All my love always and forever Sister Jane.
In this time of profound sorrow, we gather together to honor and celebrate the beautiful life of Karen. May her soul find eternal peace and may her memory bring comfort to those who mourn her loss.
