Obituary

 

 

Kenneth Schanck, 87, passed away on May 17th, 2023, from natural causes. He was born December 26, 1935, in Long Branch, NJ, the son of Dempsey and Nellie Schanck. 

Kenneth attended Eatontown Public schools. He was a member of the United States Air Force. He was married to his wife, Emma Schanck for 53 years. Kenneth worked as a bus driver for Academy Bus for many years. He served as a member of the Pinebrook Auxiliary Fire Department. Kenneth was an avid fisherman and hunter, who loved the outdoors. 

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Eva Livingston; two brothers, Raymond Livingston and Harold Schanck; his uncle Harrison Livingston and his cousins Bobby Livingston and Paul Livingston. 

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Emma Schanck; three daughters, Teresa Schanck, Lisa (Trent) Pugh and Stephanie Schanck; cousin Elizabeth Moore (Sissy); five grandchildren, Dominique Johnson, Jasmine Johnson, Summer Johnson, Trent Pugh Jr and Elijah Pugh; one great grandchild Journee Phillips and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 25th, 2023 from 5 pm to 6:30 pm at Damiano Funeral Home in Long Branch. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 6:30 pm. The family invites you to leave a letter of condolence through the Tribute/Guestbook link above.
