Logan Morris Dayton, Jr.

Logan M. Dayton, Jr., age 83 of Colts Neck, died peacefully on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains. Logan was born and raised in New Rochelle, NY and lived in Michigan for 10 years before settling in Colts Neck 48 years ago. He was a salesperson for the Foster Forbes Glass Company in Cliffwood for 40 years retiring in 1999.

Logan was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Red Bank. He enjoyed golf and gardening and was an avid NY Yankees and Giants fan.

He was predeceased by his first wife and the mother of his children, Jane Marie Dayton in 1993; his parents, Emily and Logan Dayton, Sr.; his sister, Janet McCollough; his son-in-law, Glenn Posner and his step-daughter, Mary Jo Scibetta.

Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Ann Marie Dayton; his daughter, Susan Posner and her children Jane and Caroline Posner; his son Logan Dayton III, his wife Melissa and their eight children; two great grandchildren; his step-daughter and her husband, Lisa and Otto Vnek and their son John and his step-daughter Karen Scibetta.  

All services are private. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 65 West Front Street, Red Bank, NJ 07701.
