Loretta Sessa Obituary

Loretta Sessa, 99, of Long Branch died on Friday, September 29, 2023 at Tower Lodge Care Center in Wall Township. She was born in Long Branch on September 6, 1924. Loretta was a retired seamstress for the International Ladies Garment Worker Union having worked in several garment factories in Long Branch. She was also employed by the Long Branch Board of Education as a school crossing guard for twelve year. Loretta was a long time parishioner of Holy Trinity Church of Christ the King Parish in Long Branch.

She was predeceased by her father, Antonio Sessa; her mother Lucy (nee Coles) Sessa; her brother, Carmen Sessa; and her 3 sisters, Mary Sessa, Elise Valenti and Angelina Muccillo.  Surviving are several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 5 at 10 am at Holy Trinity Church in Long Branch. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in West Long Branch.
