Luigia "Gigi" Cioppa

Luigia “Gigi” Cioppa, age 96 of Ocean Grove, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Gigi was born in Basoia, Italy and moved to the United States over 70 years ago. She was a cashier at Fort Monmouth for 40 years before retiring.

Luigia was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Michael Cioppa. She is survived by 4 daughters, Georgette Russell, Linda Cioppa Solivan, Bonnie Cioppa and Gigi White; 3 grandchildren, Michelle Russell, Billy Russell and Jordan Cannata.

The family of Gigi Cioppa would like to thank the nurses, aides and staff at Manor by the Sea for all the care given to Gigi throughout the years.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6 from 4 – 7 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave. in Long Branch. Funeral, Thursday; 9 am from the funeral home with the Service to begin at 9:30 am. Interment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport.
