Margaret "Peggy" Theresa Dunne

     Margaret "Peggy" Dunne of Deal, New Jersey died Thursday, September 19, 2024. Peggy was born in Astoria, New York on May 15, 1941.

     She is predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Margaret, her grandparents, and her beloved cousin Danny Sweeney, all residents of Deal. Peggy is a 1959 graduate of Red Bank Catholic High School. She went on to become a laboratory technician working in histology, blood bank, and hematology at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch. After retirement, Peggy also worked at the Central Jersey Blood Bank in Shrewsbury.

     Peggy was a proud resident of Deal. She worked many elections for the town and also organized many blood drives at the Deal Firehouse. She also enjoyed spending her summers at the Deal Casino.

     Peggy was a kind and gentle person beloved by all who knew her. She is survived by many dear friends from near and far, as well as several cousins in Ireland. She was especially proud of her Irish heritage. A Celebration of Life for Peggy will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 2 to 4 PM at the Deal Fire Company, located at 110 Brighton Avenue in Deal, NJ 07723.
