Maria Celli

Maria Celli, age 88 of Long Branch, died peacefully on December 25, 2021 at Preferred Care at Wall. Mrs. Celli was born in San Pietro Apostolo, Calabria, Italy and came to America in 1961. She settled in Eatontown before moving to Long Branch to be with her daughter. She was a cook at Memorial School in Eatontown for many years before retiring and a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church of Christ the King Parish.

She was predeceased by her husband Russel Celli; her son Russell and her sister Antoinette Vincelli. Surviving are her daughter and son in law, Lucy and Michael Hussey of Long Branch; 8 grandchildren, Michael, Tina, Russell, Maria, Joey, Alyssa, Mikey and Jeni; 1 great granddaughter, Julianna and her daughter in law, Barbara Celli of Oakhurst.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 9:30 am until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 am at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue in Long Branch. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in West Long Branch. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 131 Bath Avenue, Long Branch, NJ 07740.
