Maria Luisa Ramos (Nieves), born on September 12, 1936, in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, at the age of 89 in Toms River, New Jersey. Maria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, known for her infectious smile and ability to bring laughter to any room.

She dedicated much of her time to caring for her children, many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, a testament to her nurturing and loving nature. Maria was a devout member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, where she found great comfort and community.

Maria was predeceased by her mother, Ernestina Torres; her husband, Felix Ramos, Sr.; her daughter, Maritza Lawrence; and her son, Felix Ramos Jr. She is survived by her sister, Gloria Torres; children, Edwin Sepulveda, Louise M. Sosa (Ewald Sosa), Miguel Ramos (Lillian Ramos), and MaryEllen Lopez (Ismael Lopez); along with eighteen grandchildren and thirty-three great-grandchildren, all of whom will miss her dearly.

Maria's life and legacy will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 23 from 6 pm until the time of the service at 7:30 pm at Damiano Funeral Home in Long Branch. A gathering will be held on Wednesday from 10 -10:30 am at the funeral home following by a 11 am interment at Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport.
