Maria de Lourdes Saboia

On Friday evening, January 14th, 2022, Lourdes Saboia, 53, passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her wife and children.  

She was born to Francisco and Lia Saboia in Jacinto Machado, Brazil in 1968. She lived many years in Brazil and eventually immigrated to the US. Lourdes was married to Ana Paula Almeida Saboia, her partner of nearly 16 years, in May of 2015 and the couple raised their two children in Long Branch.

She was an amazing mother and friend, who met everyone with immense kindness and warmth. Her kind and caring energy made the world a brighter place. She was an avid photographer and traveled all over the world taking beautiful photos.

She was predeceased by her father and mother, Francisco & Lia Saboia. Surviving is her wife, Ana Paula Almeida Saboia; her children, Francesco & Willow Saboia and her siblings, Humberto Saboia, Claudia Saboia, Tatiana Saboia, Flavio Saboia, Cassia Saboia, Marcelo Saboia, Dominique Saboia, Pia Saboia, Mariu Saboia, Francisco Saboia and Sandro Borges.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, January, 22 from 1:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 3:00 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue in Long Branch. The family invites you to leave a letter of condolence by selecting the Tribute/Guestbook link above. In lieu of flowers, the family is requested donations be made to the funeral home to help with expensive.
