Maryann died peacefully in her sleep the evening of January 27, 2023. She was born and raised in Long Branch New Jersey. She was a first generation Italian immigrant from Calabria and Naples. Her family came through Ellis Island to New York and New Jersey where she lived most of her life.
Maryann was an extremely caring person she cared for the sick for 40 years as a CNA at Monmouth Medical Center, Monmouth Convalescent Center (now Complete Care) in Long Branch New Jersey and took the absolute best care of her now deceased, husband Robert and son Nicholas Mancini. She was an advocate for children with disabilities to be able to integrate in traditional middle and high school systems and volunteered for over 20 years at Catholic Churches.
She touched the lives of many. When people were down, she would effectively listen to them and pick them up in the direction they needed. Always keeping them close to the Lord. She prayed every single day.
She was always so jovial no matter what life dealt her. An extremely strong willed lady. She moved to Colorado after her husband passed away in 2001 to be with her daughter, son in law and 2 grandchildren.
