Nicholas Fred Mancini, known affectionately as Nick, passed away on January 20, 2025, at the age of 87 in his hometown of Long Branch, New Jersey. Born in Long Branch, Nick was a lifelong resident and a pillar of his community.
Nick's life was marked by his dedication to his family and his community. He was a devoted husband to Yvonne Mancini and a loving father to Debbie Mancini Casaccio and Charlene Mancini Richman. His family extended to his sons-in-law, Joseph Casaccio and Steven Richman, as well as his nephew Bobby Mancini, niece RoseAnn Mancini Velasquez and her husband Tony Velasquez, and their children Angelina and Tony Jr. Velasquez. Nick was also surrounded by very special cousins, Tanya Scully and her husband John Scully and their son Johnny, Priscilla Cole and her husband Jim Cole, and Cara and Andy Fraley, Danielle and John Clements, along with many cherished friends.
Nick was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Nicholas Mancini, his brother Bobby Mancini, and his sister-in-law MaryAnn Mancini.
Educated locally, Nick attended Saint James primary school, Red Bank Catholic High School, and later Monmouth College. His career was diverse and community-oriented. He worked as a District Manager at DuBois Chemical Company, an Insurance Agent at Prudential and John Hancock, and later shared his love for driving as a Driver/Trainer for Arrow Limousine and a Driver for Damiano Funeral Home.
Nick was a devout member of Holy Trinity Church of Christ the King Parish, where he participated actively in the community's spiritual life. His faith was an integral part of who he was, guiding him in his daily interactions and his deep commitment to his family and friends.
Family was the center of Nick's world. He cherished family vacations, celebrating holidays, and attending all family activities. His presence at these gatherings was not just about participation but about creating lasting memories with those he loved.
Nick's family has entrusted his final arrangements to Damiano Funeral Home in Long Branch, New Jersey, where he once served as a driver. This full-circle moment underscores his deep ties to the community and his enduring legacy in the town he called home.
In remembrance of Nick, his family holds dear the memory of a man who was not only thoughtful, warm, and caring but someone whose kindness and polite demeanor touched all who knew him. His legacy of love, commitment, and community service will continue to influence and inspire.
