Norma Lydia Brewer, née Rodriguez Santiago, passed away at the age of 96 on June 26, 2024, in Manchester Township, NJ. Born on February 22, 1928, in Yauco, Puerto Rico, Norma was a cherished member of her community and a beacon of strength and joy to all who knew her.

Norma dedicated many years of her life to her craft as a seamstress before embracing her role as a nanny—a job she thoroughly enjoyed and excelled in. Her work ethic and vibrant spirit were evident in everything she did, leaving a lasting impression on both her colleagues and the families she helped.

She was a devoted mother and a friend to many, known for her resilience and ever-present smile. Norma's legacy is carried on by her loving children: Bobby Gonzalez, Michael Gonzalez, Vincent Labriola, Albert Labriola, Maria Raymond, Paulette Brewer, and Joseph Brewer. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nellie Gonzalez.

A service to celebrate Norma's life will be held on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024, at Damiano Funeral Home, located at 191 Franklin Ave. Long Branch, New Jersey 07740, beginning at 10:30 am follow by an interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in West Long Branch.

Norma's life was a testament to the power or hard work and importance of family.  She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
