Paula Hernandez

Paula Hernandez, born Paula Cruz on August 25, 1937, in Guatemala, passed away on August 24, 2023, at the age of 86 in Long Branch, NJ 07740. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and a cherished member of the community. Paula was known for her strength, caring nature, and loving heart. She touched the lives of many with her kindness and compassion.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her surviving children: Alba Gomez, Alfredo Hernandez, Jaime Hernandez, Pedro Hernandez, Sergio Hernandez, and Eddy Hernandez. She also leaves behind her grandson, Marcos Gomez. Paula was preceded in death by her father, Jacinto Cruz, and her mother, Macaria Lemus. Their memories will forever be intertwined with hers.

Throughout her career, Paula worked as a housekeeper at Monmouth Medical Center. Her dedication and hard work were greatly appreciated by both her colleagues and those she served.
Paula found solace and inspiration in her faith. She worshipped at Kingdom Hall Jehovah Witness, where she found a welcoming community and strength in her beliefs.

Visitation  will be held on Monday August 28, 2023 from The Damiano Funeral home, 191 Franklin Avenue, Long Branch, NJ from 5 pm to 7 pm. Services will follow at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10 am. Interment will  take place in Glenwood Cemetery, West Long Branch, NJ. These services will provide an opportunity for family, friends, and loved ones to come together and celebrate her remarkable life.

Paula Hernandez will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love she shared and the impact she made on the lives of those around her. May she rest in eternal peace.
