Phillip Ramos Obituary

Phillip Luis Ramos, 38, of Long Branch, passed away on October 25, 2020 in Neptune City. He was born June 29, 1982 in Long Branch, New Jersey where he remained a resident of Long Branch for most of his life. Phillip graduated from Long Branch High School in 2000 and in his most recent job he was a sales representative at the Builder General’s Supply Company in Long Branch. He also worked part time for Bella’s Pizzeria in Long Branch.

Phillip was a person with tremendous integrity and temperament, a positive attitude, a great sense of humor and a joy for life. He loved listening to music, especially Hip Hop and R&B, and performing as your friendly DJ at weddings, parties, baby showers and other events, going by the name “DJ Ill Phil,” Flipset Entertainment. Phillip enjoyed playing basketball, watching movies and seeing stand-up comedians. He was a diehard fan of basketball and football, and he loved Kobe Bryant, the Brooklyn Nets and New York Giants. But his true passion was in being a beloved, devoted father and dad to his two children, daughter Jordan and son Anthony.

His children have always been the light of his life, and he lived his life with an immense appreciation of what is really important—the love for his children, family and friends as well as a real zest for life itself. Phillip was loved so much by all who knew him. Aunts and Uncles looked at him like he was one of their own. Cousins and friends looked at him like he was their brother. Words cannot express just how much of a loss we are all experiencing and just how much we will miss him being in our lives, especially for his children Jordan and Anthony, and his mother Dorothy. He will always be in our memories, each and every day of our lives. Dearest Phillip, May Your SOUL Always Shine On, In Our Hearts!

Phillip is survived by his two wonderful children, daughter Jordan and son Anthony, Jordan’s and Anthony’s mother Margaret Baez, mother Dorothy Ramos, grandparents Luis A. Ramos and Minerva Gomez, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
