Poppy B. Gallipani, of Lakewood died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. Poppy was born on August 30th in Staten Island and lived in West Long Branch for 30+ years before moving to Florida and then Lakewood. Poppy is survived by her children: Jackie Valentino and her husband Mark, Steven Wajda and his wife Sue, Sandy Kamberogiannis and her husband Artie, Christina Brenner and her husband Marty as well as her beloved grandchildren: Marissa Losquadro, Greg, Jessica and Emily Oakes; Brian, Anna and Jennifer Wajda; Nick and Alexandra Kamberogiannis; and Ty and Jack Brenner.
Poppy built a life of volunteerism in West Long Branch, where she formed many friendships, while raising her children. Poppy volunteered with the Republican Party of West Long Branch, Pop warner football program, the girl scouts and many other programs her children took part in. Poppy was a member of the Old First United Methodist church where she also taught Sunday school. When her children were older, Poppy began a lengthy and successful career in retail, where she worked in cosmetics, making many friends along the way.
Poppy enjoyed traveling but more than anything, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
