Richard C. Hayes

Richard C. Hayes, age 64 of Long Branch, died Sunday, September 8, 2024 at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC. Rich was born in Long Branch and was a life resident of the shore area. He served our Country honorably in the US Navy from 1978 to 1988 serving as a Seaman First Class.

Rich enjoyed many things in life; however he had a passion for playing pool and computers, which led to taking classes at DeVry Technical Institute and enjoyed visiting Monmouth Park.

He was predeceased by his parents, Ann and Charles; his grandparents, Charlotte and Tim and Mary and John. Surviving are his brother Bob; his sister Mary; nephew Jon, two nieces, Melissa and Christine and many cousins.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024 from 6:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 7:30 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue in Long Branch. Interment of cremains will be held on Tuesday, October 1 at 10:00 am at Brigadier General Wm. C.
