Ruth Simpson

Ruth Loretta Simpson, age 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch. Ruth was born in New York to the late Henry and Frances McCord on December 26, 1945.  She enjoyed babysitting her great grandchildren, doing crafts, planting flowers and watching NASCAR.

As well as being predeceased by her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Dean L. Simpson, Sr. Ruth is survived by her daughter DeAnn and husband Michael Papp of Cape May; her son Dean, Jr. and his wife Skeeter of Phoenix, AZ; her brother Chet McCord and his wife Shirley of Mohegan Lake, NY; and her brother Ronald McCord and his wife Carol of Myrtle Beach, SC. Ruth is also survived by her grandson Andrew and his wife Carrie; granddaughter Rebeka and her fiancé Ryan and grandson Dean III; the great loves of her life, her great granddaughters, Alexa and Rylie and great grandsons Chase and Hunter plus several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 9 am until the time of the funeral service at 11 am at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue in Long Branch.
