In Loving Memory of Susan Farry
Susan Farry, a woman whose generous spirit and boundless compassion touched everyone she met, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She will forever be remembered as a devoted mother, a cherished grandmother and aunt, and a true friend to both people and animals.
Susan had a heart that was simply too big for this world. She found her greatest joy in being with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, Aidan and Keegan, who were the light of her life. She filled their days with warmth, encouragement, and unconditional love. Her pride in them was endless, and the memories they shared will be treasured always.
Her love for animals was one of the purest reflections of her gentle soul. Susan had a deep compassion for rescue animals and believed that every creature deserved kindness, safety, and a loving home. The countless lives she touched, both human and animal, stand as a testament to her extraordinary empathy.
Born in Long Branch, Susan was the beloved daughter of the late Charles and Jean Wilhide of Long Branch. She was predeceased by her dear sister, Sandra Baker Herig of Wall Township.
She is survived by her son, Brian Farry, and daughter-in-law, Ewa, of Neptune City; her grandchildren, Aidan and Keegan; her sister, Carol Lynch of West Long Branch; her niece, Kim Baker Winter and her husband John of Rincón, Puerto Rico; her nephew, William Lynch and his wife Danielle of Long Branch; her niece, Meghan Lynch of West Long Branch, and her brother-in-law, Joe Herig of Wall Township. Each of them carries forward Susan’s legacy of love, resilience, and generosity.
Susan’s life was defined not by grand gestures, but by quiet, everyday acts of kindness, steadfast devotion, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered, always and forever.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 20, 2025 from 10 am until the time of the service at 11:30 am at the Damiano Funeral Home in Long Branch. Interment will be held privately.
