Valdemar C. Moreria

Valdemar C. "Val" Moreira, 47, of Manahawkin, New Jersey, passed away on January 6, 2024. Born on January 15, 1977, in Portugal, Val was a cherished son, brother, father, and partner, known for his loving, funny, loyal, and intelligent demeanor.

Val proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for 25 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant (MSgt). His dedication and commitment to service were evident in his leadership and camaraderie.

Following his military career, Val transitioned into the civilian workforce with great success. He spent 12 years as an outside sales representative and later as a manager at Home Depot, where he was respected for his work ethic and leadership skills.

Val is survived by his father, Armando Moreira; brother, Luis Moreira and his wife Fabiana and nephew, Evan Moreira; his loving partner, Nancy Lopez; and his children, Alex and Leah Moreira. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Moreira.

A visitation will be held on Friday from 4pm until the time of the service at 7:30pm, followed by Military Honors at Damiano Funeral Home, located at 191 Franklin Ave, Long Branch, NJ 07740.

Val's life was a testament to his strength, humor, and capacity to love. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
