William Kenneth Krogh, known affectionately as Billy, passed away at the age of 92 on August 27, 2025, in Neptune, NJ. Born on October 10,1932 in Plainfield, NJ, he lived a rich and full life characterized by his dedication to family, a successful career, and diverse interests.

Billy served honorably in the Air Force for four years, where he developed a discipline and camaraderie that stayed with him throughout his life. After his military service, he embarked on a varied career, starting at Mattel Corporation as a buyer, then moving to RCA/GE where he was a Material Controller working on satellites. He later served as a custodian at South Brunswick Twp School, where he was beloved for his generosity and willingness to help students with anything they needed.

Billy was also deeply involved in his community and his faith, being a devoted member of the Griggstown Reformed Church. His education began at Plainfield High School and continued at Rutgers University, setting a foundation of lifelong learning and curiosity.

An accomplished pianist, Billy played at Carnegie Hall and was a champion swimmer in his high school days. His hobbies included fly fishing, bowling, skiing—which he took up at the age of 50—and enjoying outdoor work. His love for music was pervasive in his life, providing joy not only to himself but also to those around him.

Billy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Krogh; his parents, Sophie and Trygve Krogh; his brother, Allen Krogh; his sister, Vera Emery; and nephews Mickey Emery, David Krogh, and Gary Krogh. He is survived by his daughter, Karyn Krogh; grandson, Nikko Paoli; son-in-law, Angelino Paoli; and several nieces and nephews including Virginia Mickulick, Betty Jo Butcher, Randy Rimbey, Bryan Rimbey, Lee Ann Wright, and Tommy Rimbey.

 Damiano Funeral Home is assisting the family during this time. Billy’s life was a testament to his enduring kindness, humor, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Monday September 8 from 4 pm until the time of the service at 6:30 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home in Long Branch. Interment with military honors will be held on Tuesday, September 9 at 11 am at Griggstown Cemetery in Princeton.
