William Charles McGeddy Obituary

In loving memory of William McGeddy, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who departed from this world on December 3rd, 2023, at the age of 82. William was a kind, loving, and generous soul, known for his easy-going nature. His warm presence touched the lives of many, leaving an enduring impact that will be remembered with fondness.

William is survived by his loving wife, Candace Cade McGeddy, his two sons, William and Michael McGeddy, his grandson, Michael McGeddy Jr., his brother, Gary McGeddy, and sister, Donna McGeddy. He also leaves behind his nephew, Gary McGeddy, and niece, Robin Halper. Their hearts are filled with memories of a remarkable man whose love and influence will endure in their hearts forever.

Preceding William in death are his parents, William Robert and Dorthy Benz, his brother, Robert McGeddy, and daughter-in-law, Mary McGeddy.

As a devoted husband, caring father, and doting grandfather, William’s legacy lives on through the cherished memories shared by family and friends. His accomplishments include his roles as a member of both the Local 5 Bricklayers Union and the Long Branch Old Guard. William found joy and relaxation in his favorite hobbies, tennis and golf. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love he gave and the joy he brought into our lives.

There will be no services at this time. A repass and memorial service will be announced at a later date.
