William J. Haberman Obituary

William J. Haberman, 79 of Ocean Grove, died on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at CareOne at Wall. Born in the Bronx, NY, he had lived in Eatontown before moving to Ocean Grove. Bill was a retired Chief Warrant Officer in the US Army. He was a parishioner of St. Dorothea’s Church in Eatontown where he was a Eucharist Minister and a member of the Knights of Columbus. 

Bill was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Laubenstein; his parents, John and Georgina Gamby and his brother, John Gamby. Surviving are his sister, Susan Gamby, his sister-in-law, Felicia Gamby and his nieces and nephews, Nancy Masino, John Gamby, Joanne Ruotolo, Sherrie Cole, Janine Gamby and Christopher Gamby. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 9 to 10 am at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave in Long Branch. A Mass will follow at 10:30 am at St. Dorothea’s Church.  Entombment will be at Woodbine Mausoleum in Oceanport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Letters of condolence may be sent through the web at www.damianofuneralhome.com.
