Yolanda “Yoli” Beauchamp passed away peacefully on February 17th, 2023 at the age of 97. Yolanda was a caring woman who brought warmth into her relationships as a sister, wife, mother, grandmother and beyond. She is survived by her children Hector Beauchamp Jr., David Beauchamp, and Denise Wildeman.
A talented seamstress, Yolanda worked in the Garment Center in Manhattan for 62 years and her love for fashion came through in her personal sense of style. Yolanda also enjoyed swimming, reading, cooking, playing crossword puzzles, and spending time around family and friends.
Yolanda met her husband, Hector Beauchamp, through shared community and faith, and was happily married for 68 years. She was an extraordinary wife and mother to four children Hector Jr., David, Denise, and Ralph. She was lovingly known as “Mema” by her 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and single great-great-granddaughter. Yolanda also cherished her relationships with her brother, niece, and nephews. She will be sorely missed.
Yolanda will be honored through a viewing and ceremony on Monday, February 27th, 2023 from 4 pm until the service at 7:30 pm.
